Going Green.

Global climate change didn't seem like a major issue a few years ago, but now I see people reacting to this globally to it on the news. It wasn't really a concern for me, and I'm not so sure if I believe global climate change is happening yet, but after researching I found more evidence supporting the thoughts that scientists and governments are having.

As a northerner, I'm pretty use to having to deal with snow every winter but it seems that mother nature decided to skip fall and go straight to winter. It actually snowed two days in the past week. Whether it was caused by global climate change, I'm not sure, but I feel that something definitely is changing. The summer which is usually warm, was rather chilly compared to past years.

I see that people are being encouraged to go green everywhere by commercials on television and in magazines. My family is slowly starting to "go green" by buying items that were made to be eco-friendly and switching to energy saving light bulbs along with turning off electrical items when no one is using them.

Whether Global Climate Change is really happening, I'm not one-hundred percent sure, but I do think that we should change our ways regardless. The way we're living now, cutting down forests, wasting electricity, and not recycling, not doing the good things we should be doing, is affecting our environment in negative ways.

As part of the student blogging challenge, I wrote a post for BAD 2009 on the topic of climate change.
